Taxis in Budapest need to be approached with care but we hadn't expected drivers waitng for fares at the Budapest-Deli pu station to be so reluctant to travel 'beyond the peripherique' to the northern suburbs of the city. We eventually negotiated a fare with a dirver prepared to take us to the Hotel Panzio
Tucked away down a small suburban street, this is a pleasant enough small hotel with welcoming staff. Our double room was of good size although there was no air-conditioning or fan (and it was 36 degrees outside). Breakfast was adequate, no more.
There are buses and trolleys on the adjacent main road and one basic supermarket in the nearby estate.
