29/06/10 The house was great and on acres of grounds: the private pool overlooked rice fields and woodlands, and only an occasional water buffalo stopped in to take a look at us splashing in the pool! The local family from a village nearby cooked excellent Thai dishes for us throughout, and we learned how to cook Thai food. The kids loved the pool and always discovered something new...a rabbit, wiggling geckos, speeding lizards and huge colourful butterflies.
We relaxed a lot by the pool, but also explored the villages on bicycles, visited the local school and forest temple in a "skylab", set off to silk weaving villages and the World Heritage site nearby, went fishing...and took a spectcular trip on a local wooden boat on the pink lotus lake.
We got to see a whole new side of Thailand, and to experience authentic authentic Thai village life away from the crowds, and are keen to return asap! Thanks to Ten and the team for making our stay so relaxing and so much fun!

14/04/06 Gecko villa,dus geen hotel,maar een bungalow midden in de rijstvelden,met een fantastisch zwembad(je).De prijs is all in,een echtpaar( Ten en zijn vrouw) uit het dorp maakt het ontbijt/lunch/diner.Verder heel veel privecy,maar erg afgelegen,leuk voor een paar dagen.
