The room seemed very clean with a nice pool area. When checking in our reservation was not correct and the man at the desk was NOT friendly and seemed very irritated, he begrudgingly "upgraded" us because he did not have the room available that we had reserved. We were assigned the two room "suite". This room was extremely outdated and the window air units were very loud. The area of town this hotel is in was questionable. We walked a few blocks looking for a place to eat-- not a lot to chose from. That is probably the main reason we would not stay again.

I definitely recommend this hotel! it chose it because of the reviews and the relatively cheap rate, and I was really impressed. The personnel was extremely friendly and efficient, the room was super clean and quiet (considering that the motel is on a very busy street). The bonus is definitely the pool and the hot tub, which are a great value for such a convenient deal. It's only a few miles away from downtown, and you can choose to spend you money for meals and other amenities in the city. Whether you're single with a budget or with a family, the Lamplighter Inn will not disappoint you!
