04/07/11 de tip dat je met de trein vanaf de luchthaven bijna bij het hotel oxford road station ben is inderdaad geweldig.
Heel oud hotel met heel leuk ouderwets ingericht zelfs een zitje in de kamer.
wel even zoeken hoe je bij je kamer komt. maar heel leuk.En aan de bitenkant ook heel fraai .Goede vriendelijke service.wel wat gehorig.

25/06/09 For the great deal we had through 'Skoosh' our room was gorgeous and quite big. Paying an extra £10 to have a massive breakfast delivered to our room (on time) was worth it. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

25/06/09 The Palace is (I think) converted from an old insurance building but it gives the impression of being a really old 'grand' hotel. From the large high-ceilinged lobby to the rambling long corridors and the (fairly) traditionally furnished rooms, it doesn't feel like a newly built hotel. The rooms are much larger than you normally get they days and the dining and bar area are also large and airy. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I took advantage of the 'lazy Sunday' offer and paid £25 to keep my room until 6pm. This was just as well as Manchester is 'party central' and I didn't get back to my room until 1pm on Sunday (after leaving it at 8pm on Saturday). It's very central for all areas of the city centre and, although it doesn't quite have that glossy five star luxury atmosphere, it's highly recommended all the same.

25/06/09 When you walk into the reception the hotel looks exceptional with its interior. Its when you leave the reception and go to the bedroom your delight turns into horror. A very dismal room greets you with taped up frosted windows, a inadequate bathroom and a bed which is not like the one in the brochure!!!

The breakfast was excellent and well presented. The hotel was also very full.

Good location, good food, however lacking in the old bedroom and bathroom decor. bedroom basically looked like an old converted office with the old fashioned wood paneled walls.

25/06/09 Stayed at the Palace several times, great location, good staff, traditional Hotel that makes the most of its architecture.

A problem with the heating in our room on the last stay overcome with the provision of portable heaters - even though it was late, the desk sorted out our issues.

25/06/09 I would highly recommend this hotel. It's in a great location and is a stunning building. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

04/12/06 Het is een bijzonder hotel, met een aparte sfeer. Het is een prachtig gebouw, maar het is behoorlijk verouderd. De kamers in de "kelder" zijn verschrikkelijk heet (geen airco, alleen een fan die amper hielp). Sommige kamers zijn gehorig ivm feestzalen in het hotel of trein die dichtbij langskomt elk uur (ook 's nachts). De bedden zijn goed. Het ontbijt is prima, engels maar ook vers fruit, toast, cornflakes etc. Personeel is correct maar niet bijster vriendelijk. Bar is DUUR (4 pond 40 voor een hoegaarden), maar dat is heel manchester. Ik vind het hotel ok, maar geen viersterren (hoewel misschien voor engeland wel 4?). En je betaalt wel erg veel voor een kamer vind ik. Het gebouw daarentegen maakt veel goed. Groot pluspunt: je stapt vanuit het vliegveld zo in de trein naar Oxford Road station en dat ligt voor de deur van het hotel. Het centum is goed aan te lopen.
