My wife and I decided to travel to Cuba, a place well known for being both colourful and secure, the latter being important since our little daughter was traveling with us.
To get a feeling of Cuban home life and to practise our Spanish, we turned to B&B places and decided to spend the most of our holidays in the charming town of Trinidad. Following the recommendation of a friend of ours who regularly travels to Cuba, we stayed at Kirenia and Jose's Hostal.
Kirenia and Jose are a nice young couple who have run their B&B place for nearly 10 years now. They obviously know how to make you feel very comfortable and you quickly find yourself at home. The food is very good, typically Cuban, all prepared by Kirenia. The bedrooms are clean, and have comfortable beds. The "Casa" is well situated, just 10-15 mins from the centre of Trinidad - a good opportunity for a little walk after dinner on the terrace, through the typical colonial streets, before listening to live music or dancing salsa.
